THE WRITER
Joel Lee was raised in a parsonage; wherever he ends up, he won't stray too far from it. His work investigates queer self-actuality, faith systems, and the fallibility of the stories we tell ourselves about ourselves.
Subjects include animals, family, religious figures, the body, and funhouse-mirror selves. Lee's work has been published in venues such as December Magazine, Ouch! Gazette, and Collision Literary Magazine. His undergraduate thesis project, Sympathy for the Devil, was awarded the Outstanding Thesis Award by The University of Tampa.
